Project Management Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Nova Systems team. As a key member of our Geospatial team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of projects and contributing to the development of software and geospatial solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Project Delivery
- Manage project delivery in accordance with Agile and/or software development life cycle (SDLC) techniques using a proven and established project management methodology, Scrum, Waterfall
- Bid Development and Costing
- Support the bid lead and regional business manager with bid development and costing
- Technical Leadership
- Engage regularly with Technical Leads to ensure technical aspects of project delivery follow best practice approaches and technical work is of a high quality
- Business Development
- Identify and initiate future opportunities for projects or other business for the Nova Systems Geospatial BU
- Project Scheduling
- Develop, maintain and monitor project schedules including artifacts such as Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), sprint plans, and agile backlogs
- Financial Management
- Manage the financial integrity of all projects under your guidance
- Client Engagement
- Undertake key client consultation, business analysis and engagement management
- Team Management
- Ensure that the project team have the means and appropriate working environment to undertake their roles
- GIS Project Delivery
- Manage GIS project delivery to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Resource Management
- Collaborate with the regional business manager to ensure efficient use of resources, regional team management, business development and account management when required
- Invoice Management
- Engage with Corporate and Project Support Officers (CSO, PSO) to ensure invoice milestones are met and work completed is invoiced in a timely manner
- Stakeholder Management
- Undertake successful interactions with client stakeholders, third party organisations (other suppliers, sub-contractors, Commonwealth), and other internal project teams
- Project Activities
- Contribute to project activities such as meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars and presentations.
- Australian Citizenship
- You must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain an AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance
- Project Management Experience
- At least 5 years of proven experience in managing software development projects using agile delivery methods (from inception to final delivery) is essential
- Agile Certification
- A Certified Scrum Master qualification is highly desirable
- Leadership and Communication Skills
- Ability to lead, inspire and mentor a team to achieve project objectives
- Presentation and Negotiation Skills
- Strong presentation skills with demonstrated experience in negotiation and influencing
- GIS Experience
- GIS project experience (desirable)
