About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and proactive graduate or junior journalist to kick-start their career at WA's leading media business. As a Media Content Writer, you will be responsible for writing informative and engaging advertorial content for clients, as well as articles across a broad range of topics.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication and copywriting skills, highly developed organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work in a busy, deadline-driven environment. Essential to this role is a desire to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required, as well as an unwavering 'can-do' approach to all tasks.

Main Responsibilities

  • Writing client copy and articles across a diverse range of topics and industry sectors;
  • Liaising with advertisers on a daily basis to deliver positive client outcomes;
  • Undertaking research and interviews to produce relevant and high-quality stories that support and enhance client content in various products and features;
  • Working collaboratively with sales teams within the Advertising Department to secure revenue opportunities;
  • Developing positive relationships with key industry people and organisations;
  • Representing the Company in a professional and courteous manner.

About You

  • A qualification in Journalism or Communications and copywriting experience;
  • Strong research, interviewing, and writing skills;
  • Strong time management and organisational skills;
  • The ability to work under pressure and maintain high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment;
  • A strong work ethic;
  • A valid driver's licence.
