Verification and Validation Specialist

About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled Verification and Validation (V&V) Engineer to join our Rail Engineering and Integration team. As a V&V Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in managing the V&V process for project deliveries, analyzing project requirements, and proposing V&V methods and stages in the project lifecycle.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing V&V activities across the entire project lifecycle.
- Reviewing and providing input for management plans and technical processes related to V&V.
- Guiding V&V activities in various design disciplines/subsystems and supporting teams to ensure correct delivery of V&V artefacts.
- Participating in system-level verification and validation activities, supporting the system integration, testing, and commissioning team on various tasks.
- Assisting with the establishment of standards for conducting technical review, inspection, testing, audits, and handling deviations and waivers.
- Assisting with identifying and managing risks and opportunities in planning and performance of V&V activities.
- Assisting with ensuring traceability of V&V activities and their results to relevant requirements, including related standards.
- Assisting with updating the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) and Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) as input to Stage Gate Reviews.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, or an equivalent degree.
- Previous experience in a similar role in Rail projects.
- Prior experience in Verification and Validation methodologies, tools, techniques, FRACAS/Defect Management Systems, and V&V tracking in Requirement Management Systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with different stakeholders.
