Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chief Urban Development Strategist to join our Executive Leadership team. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovative and strategic urban development in one of New South Wales most ambitious Local Government areas.

The Role

The successful candidate will lead a directorate delivering a wide range of services to the community, including Technical Services, Works, and Community Facilities. They will work in partnership with the General Manager and the Executive leadership team to provide inspiring leadership and stewardship, characterised by innovation, collaboration and service.

About You

We are looking for a creative thinker who can generate alternatives, visualise new possibilities, challenge assumptions and open themselves up to new information. You will also need to be eager to foster strong partnerships with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and the community to drive sustainable urban growth.

Requirements

  • Significant experience within the infrastructure arena
  • Track record of successful project delivery
  • Ability to lead teams through periods of change and growth
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation within the Local Government context (an advantage)
