Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Data Centre Technician to join our facilities team, working on a 24/7 basis to support the day-to-day operations of our data centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical maintenance and customer service, ensuring that facility problems are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivery of Cabling and Electrical Services: Ensure that cabling needs, electrical and data, are delivered to customer racks and areas in a timely and efficient manner.
- Remote Hands Support: Attend to remote Hands Requests, providing prompt and effective support to customers.
- Maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical Systems: Assist with the maintenance of all core electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring that they are functioning optimally.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve facility problems in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
- Manual Handling: Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving equipment, as required.
From time to time, during shifts, there may be travel between sites as required.
Requirements:- Trade Experience: Experience in Trades (Electrician, Plumber, Mechanical) is essential.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service, communication skills, and a 'can-do' attitude are required.
- Data Centre Knowledge: Basic knowledge of data centres, data cabling, and cable management is desirable.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A keen interest in fixing and solving problems is essential.
- Qualifications: TAFE Cert in Telecommunications and Trade Certs (Electrician/HVAC Technician) are desirable.
- Australian Citizenship: Candidates must be Australian Citizens due to security clearances required.
