Childcare Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide comprehensive care to individuals with psychosocial disabilities.

The Role

  • Interview clients and assess their needs and goals, developing tailored support plans to enhance their well-being.
  • Implement educational and development opportunities, as well as other support programs designed to promote independence and confidence.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless support.
  • Making referrals for clients to agencies that can provide additional assistance, facilitating connections within the community.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of NDIS guidelines, Community Services, and Health Sectors.
  • An awareness of issues faced by people experiencing mental health illnesses, substance abuse, and other psychosocial disabilities.
  • The ability to manage challenging behaviors in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and a solid grasp of Mental Health services.
  • The capacity to meet physical demands of the role, including manual handling tasks.
  • Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, ensuring adequate coverage at all times.

Qualifications

  • A Diploma in Community Services or Mental Health.
  • Certificates in Medication Management, Infection Control, and First Aid.
  • A valid Driver's License and willingness to use personal vehicle (if required).
  • The NDIS Support Worker Orientation Module Certificate or a willingness to complete prior to commencing.
  • A Confirmation record of COVID-19 vaccination.
