The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is seeking an Electrical/Instrument Technician to contribute to the seamless operation of our water and wastewater treatment facilities in Newcastle. This pivotal role will play a crucial part in ensuring the provision of clean water and environmental protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot breakdowns on electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Calibrate and maintain instrumentation across water and wastewater plants.
  • Modify and update wiring diagrams, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Carry out planned maintenance tasks and participate in the on-call roster.
  • Utilise expertise in hardware fault finding and data management.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, providing supervision and representing Veolia.
  • Contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to WH&S, Environment, and Quality Systems.
  • Participate in Veolia's continuous improvement culture.

Requirements

  • Electrical Trade Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance of heavy industrial plant and equipment
  • Instrumentation certification is desirable
  • Driver's Licence
