Role Overview
An exceptional opportunity exists for a skilled Operator Maintainer at our Coal Handling Preparation Plant. The Operator Maintainer is tasked with the operation, oversight, and upkeep of the Coal Handling Preparation Plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a range of machinery, including loaders and dozers, alongside performing manual maintenance tasks.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical challenges related to performance and availability.
- Conduct inspections to ensure all equipment operates according to established standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements while promoting a culture of mine safety.
- Engage in a mix of team-oriented and independent tasks involving plant operation and maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Recognized qualifications in Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker trade (essential).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a coal mining environment (desirable).
- Proven experience in the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of Coal Handling and Preparation Plants.
- Willingness to work on a fortnightly weekend schedule.
