About the Role:

Weir Minerals is seeking a skilled Machinist Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to ensure safe and efficient processing of minerals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain CNC machines to meet production targets
  • Perform pre-shift safety checks and TPM inspections on equipment
  • Inspect workstations to ensure they are clean and orderly, adhering to 6S principles
  • Conduct detailed handovers to the opposite shift to ensure seamless operation
  • Report any quality concerns or safety incidents to supervisor

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in Machining and minimum 2 years' experience in manual and CNC machine operation
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including risk assessments and component drawings
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

What We Offer:

  • $85,000 - $100,000 per annum, dependent on experience
