Job Opportunity

This role supports the Office of Communication in sharing the Archbishop and Catholic Archdiocese of Perth's message.

We seek a proactive and self-assured individual to take initiative and contribute effectively to organisational goals.

The ideal candidate will develop content for high-level campaigns and strategies, focusing on the Archbishop, Bishop, and other key stakeholders.

  • Triage & Operations: Triage a high-volume of tasks and support the office's operational needs.
  • Content Creation & Management: Prepare and develop communications content for high-level campaigns and strategies.
  • Advisory & Strategy: Provide advice and direct support to parishes, agencies and offices on communications strategies and campaigns.
  • Content Production: Utilise intermediate knowledge of digital photography and videography for content development and post-production.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Collaborate with internal team members and external professionals to support the Office of Communications.

The successful applicant will have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism, and minimum five years' experience in a similar role. They will also have advanced proficiency in the Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate skills in social media and newsletter systems like Mailchimp, and experience using a DSLR camera for both photography and videography.

This role requires excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, strong emotional intelligence, and the ability to work with individuals at varying levels of understanding and experience. The successful applicant will be self-assured and proactive, with the confidence to provide expert advice and a positive can-do attitude and service mindset.
