About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Career Practitioner to join our team at Broome Senior High School. As a key member of our school community, you will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve their career aspirations and develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their chosen fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement programs and provide resources to embed career development across learning areas
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to develop and deliver career-related initiatives
  • Provide guidance and support to students to help them explore their career options and develop a clear understanding of their strengths and interests
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local employers, community agencies, and training providers to provide students with opportunities for work experience and career development
Requirements
  • Hold a recognized teaching qualification and/or a Graduate Certificate in Career Development
  • Have a strong understanding of career development principles and practices
  • Be able to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students to achieve career development goals
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
