Residential Care Leadership Opportunity

This role requires a registered nurse with experience in senior management to lead both the clinical and care teams across a residential aged care home.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the needs of each resident are being met and the team understands who the residents are, including their identity, culture, diversity, beliefs, and life experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring clinical and specialised nursing care needs of residents are met and documented in an individual resident care plan by clinical staff
  • Maintaining resident autonomy, independence, dignity, or identified risks involved in care plans
  • Overseeing scheduled mandatory and voluntary reappraisals
  • Accountability for RN's and EN's daily case reporting, care planning, and addressing patient concerns
  • Regular clinical sweeps to ensure all gaps are dealt with in a timely manner
About You
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA - No restrictions
  • Experience in a senior management role within the aged care sector
  • Above average knowledge and understanding of the aged care sector
  • Ability to manage human resource issues with effective negotiation skills
  • Understanding of information technology and ability to learn new skills
