About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our team at Sharp and Carter. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in supporting the CEO with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and senior leadership team, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy.
  2. Team Management: Lead and manage a large, high-performing global team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  3. Financial Planning and Analysis: Own the month-end, forecasting, and budgeting process, including variance analysis, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  4. Pricing and Commercial Strategies: Develop and implement pricing strategies to increase product profitability, driving business growth and revenue expansion.
  5. Cost Transformation: Lead the cost business transformation project, identifying opportunities to optimize costs and improve operational efficiency.
  6. Mergers and Acquisitions: Assist with M&A activities, providing financial expertise to drive business growth and expansion.
  7. Financial Analysis: Analyze and understand the value chain of financials, identifying key drivers of financial performance and making recommendations for improvement.
  8. Strategic Planning: Own the five-year strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy and goals.
  9. Performance Visibility: Deliver data-driven insights and analysis to create performance visibility for the senior leadership team, enabling informed decision-making.
  10. Pricing and Profitability Analysis: Analyze pricing and profitability by product for portfolio management, ensuring optimal pricing strategies and revenue growth.
  11. Financial Goal Setting: Collaborate with senior leaders to set and assess financial goals, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy.
  12. Team Culture: Maintain a vibrant, fun team culture, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  1. Professional Qualifications: Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  2. Commercial Experience: 10+ years of commercial experience, with a proven track record of success in financial leadership roles.
  3. Leadership Skills: Effective leader who inspires and motivates others, with a strategic mindset and ability to think beyond the numbers.
  4. M&A Experience: Proven M&A experience, with the ability to adapt global practices to drive change in a global environment.
  5. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills for resolving complex issues, with a deep understanding of financial and strategic planning.
  6. Industry Experience: Background in product, SaaS, B2B, FMCG environments ideal, with the ability to adapt to a global environment.
