Job Opportunity:

Director Medical Services

This is a key leadership role in the facility, requiring strategic thinking and collaboration to drive operational performance.

The Director of Medical Services will work closely with the facility Director of Nursing to support functional operational performance across the facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, sustainable care aligned with the organisation's strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the facility Director of Nursing to develop and implement operational plans.
  • Collaborating with cross-divisional teams to resolve patient access and flow issues.
  • Providing escalation points for front-line staff and coordinating issue resolution.
  • Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • MBBS or equivalent registrable with the Medical Board of Australia plus Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (or evidence of significant progression towards).
  • Evidence of vaccination, or ability to be vaccinated against specified diseases.
  • Tuberculosis screening.
  • Declaration of serious discipline history.
