Job Description:
In this advanced automation specialist position, you will provide engineering support for control systems in manufactured equipment and on-site support and commissioning of equipment controlled by PLCs and variable-speed drives.
You will be responsible for developing software, commissioning, testing, warranty work, and troubleshooting industrial automation systems. Your day-to-day functions will be varied as you cover projects ranging from mining to wastewater treatment facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement software solutions for industrial automation systems.
- Commission and test equipment controlled by PLCs and variable-speed drives.
- Provide on-site support and maintenance for industrial automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with industrial automation systems.
- Conduct warranty work and ensure the quality of industrial automation systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A strong understanding of PLC and SCADA Systems.
- An electrical trade or relevant degree, such as electrical engineering or mechatronics.
- A positive approach to work and a willingness to learn.
