As a Relationships Advisor with Relationships Australia NSW, you will play a vital role in supporting families through separation. Our organisation provides a safe and judgement-free environment for individuals, couples, and families to address critical matters impacting their relationships.

We are seeking an experienced Family Advisor to join our team based at Blacktown. This is a permanent part-time position working 3 days a week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) approximately $38-$46 per hour (depending on skills & experience), plus benefits.

About the Role

This key role involves conducting thorough intake and assessments with clients, ensuring client safety with a strong focus on child wellbeing. You will also provide compassionate client service, relevant information, and referrals to internal and external support services.

  • Provide case management support to families navigating the family law system
  • Maintain client records and contribute to service improvements
  • Ensure compliance with safety and confidentiality standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in the human services environment, working directly with clients experiencing significant crises, domestic violence, or separation
  • Demonstrated skills in client assessment, engagement, and awareness of issues relating to client safety, confidentiality, and relevant legislation
  • Some understanding of family dynamics, domestic and family violence, child safety, trauma-informed practice, mental health, and wellbeing
  • Experience providing casework to couples and families experiencing conflict or post-separation is desirable
