Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity in gastroenterology? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated medical professional to join our team as a Gastroenterology Trainee at Ryde Hospital.

As a Gastroenterology Trainee, you will be responsible for managing patients admitted under the gastroenterology service and referred for inpatient consultations. This includes facilitating urgent and other endoscopy procedures, participating in journal club, gastroenterology departmental meetings and morbidity and mortality meetings. You will also have the opportunity to attend endoscopy lists and participate in outpatient clinics where possible.

This is an advanced training position for 12 months of general Gastroenterology based at Ryde Hospital. The position involves close communication with the emergency, general medical and surgical teams, and requires participation in education and research activities and quality assurance projects.

**Responsibilities:**

• Manage the care of inpatients referred to the gastroenterology service
• Facilitate urgent and other endoscopy procedures
• Participate in journal club, gastroenterology departmental meetings and morbidity and mortality meetings
• Attend endoscopy lists and participate in outpatient clinics where possible
