About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Collision Repair Specialist to join our team at AMA Group Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to trucks and trailers, ensuring a high-quality finish and enhancing their aesthetic appearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and prepare vehicles for repair, ensuring all necessary parts are correct and free from defects.
  • Remove, repair, or replace damaged panels, frames, and other components, using various tools and techniques to shape, cut, and weld metal panels.
  • Ensure all work performed meets industry and safety standards, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and repair techniques, and collaborate with the production manager to achieve team goals.
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicles as required, and handle all vehicles with due care and attention.
Requirements
  • Experienced and qualified panel beater with a solid understanding of rust treatment, frame alignment, and structural repair principles.
  • Proficiency in metal shaping, welding, and fabrication techniques specific to heavy vehicles.
  • Familiarity with body filler application, sanding, and surface preparation for paint.
  • Effective communication skills for team collaboration and customer interactions.
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure precise and high-quality repairs.
