About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer in Counselling to join our team at Acknowledge Education. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for the development, delivery, and improvement of our Master of Counselling program.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring a high-quality, student-centric experience, while maintaining compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework. You will work closely with our team to map units, stay up-to-date with current and emerging principles and best practices, and provide exceptional teaching and learning support to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver face-to-face teaching sessions, learning materials, and student engagement activities.
  • Design and create learning materials, including study guides, webinars, and assessment instructions, for assigned subjects.
  • Provide study assistance to students through various modes, including face-to-face, online, phone, and email support.
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in their studies.
  • Mark student assessments in accordance with assessment and moderation policies.
  • Identify and support students at risk, developing individual learning plans as needed.
  • Maintain subject sites on our Learning Management System.
Requirements
  • An ACA-approved qualification at PhD level or equivalent, with at least 5 years of relevant teaching, research, or professional experience in counselling.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing tertiary subject curricula and teaching materials.
  • Ability to coordinate and administer the successful delivery of tertiary subjects.
  • Eligibility for membership of the Australian Counselling Association.
