Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Counsellor to join our multidisciplinary team at YSAS.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people aged 12-25 years, providing focussed psychological interventions and counselling services in our headspace sites enhanced primary care service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing evidence-based focused psychological services, including CBT, IPT, ACT, and motivational interviewing, in an enhanced primary care setting.
  • Delivering counselling services for a dedicated case list funded through the MBS Better Access or other headspace program funding streams.
  • Ensuring family inclusive practice and other family support pathways.
  • Complying with professional and organisational standards of practice and legislative requirements.
  • Participating actively in clinical supervision, case load and review meetings; client care and safety planning.
  • Contributing to the continuous quality improvement of our services.

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around $95,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in a field such as psychology, social work, or occupational therapy.
  • Full AHPRA or AASW registration required.
  • Experience working with young people and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
