**Role Overview:**

We are seeking a qualified Nutritionist/Dietitian to support primary health care services in the Barkly region.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • To deliver nutrition education sessions and cooking demonstrations to build community capacity for healthy food choices;
  • To participate in health promotion activities and contribute to public health discussions;
  • To collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other clinicians, maintaining accurate patient records in the electronic clinic database;
  • To support professional development of nutrition/dietetics staff and represent their organisation at committees or conferences as required;
  • To undertake other duties as required.

**Requirements:**

  • Tertiary qualification from a recognised Australian university (or equivalent) and eligibility for registration in Australia;
  • Experience working with Aboriginal organisations or communities is highly regarded; understanding of Aboriginal primary health care issues and social determinants of health is essential;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and adapt programs to local values and protocols.
