Audit Professional Development Opportunity

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Audit Graduate.

This permanent full-time role offers the chance to develop your skills and progress your career in a globally integrated audit, tax and advisory firm. You'll gain invaluable on-the-job training and expertise delivered by experienced professionals within the business and external providers.

  • Assist the team by learning the basics of audit initially, which then allows you to have the foundational knowledge to grow in the role and take on further challenges in the audit team as time progresses.
  • Set up audit files, request initial and further audit documents from clients, and assist team members with testing key balances within an audit.
  • Report to seniors and managers any findings you identify within an audit engagement on a regular basis.

You'll gain exposure to the Forvis Mazars audit methodology through online training, regularly reading the manual, and asking questions to seniors and managers. This will enable you to apply the methodology to your work effectively and enhance the audit file.

Gaining on-hand experience with key client stakeholders by holding meetings to discuss key processes at the business, attending key audit meetings such as the audit kick-off and close meeting, and engaging with key executives and shareholders depending on the key financial reporting requirements of the business.

About You:

  • Completed or about to complete a Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting.
  • Full working rights for Australia.
  • Willing to undertake/already undertaking the Chartered Accountants Program (or CPA).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work full-time as a Graduate.
  • Be able to get to our North Sydney office at least three days a week.
