About This Role

We are seeking a seasoned manager to lead our Hazard Preparedness and Response team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a section focused on understanding and meeting the needs of the Emergency Management sector. This includes managing external committees, providing secretariat functions for the national Hazard Services Forum, and developing products and services that meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the HPR team and manage a section focused on understanding and meeting EM sector customer needs.
  • Manage the external committees landscape, including providing secretariat functions for the national Hazard Services Forum.
  • Develop products and services that meet the highest standards and are informed by user interactions with our products and services.
  • Provide 7-day a week operational decision support and other services to the National Emergency Management Agency National Situation Room.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Experience in emergency management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
