Speech Pathology Career Opportunities

This is a career opportunity for individuals interested in speech pathology, designed to provide a smooth transition into the workforce.

You'll work within close-knit, multidisciplinary teams to contribute to holistic care and share knowledge with Allied Health and client support professionals.

Your Role as a Speech Pathology Professional
  • You'll help children achieve developmental milestones in communication.
  • You'll educate and involve parents, carers, and others around the child to support language development.
  • You'll support clear and correct speech so others can understand the child.
  • You'll treat stuttering and articulation disorders to improve fluency and confidence.
  • You'll address literacy, reading, and writing difficulties with teachers and schools.
  • You'll teach children skills to manage food and drink safely.

Requirements
  • You'll need a degree in Speech Pathology.
  • You'll need eligibility for SPA registration upon graduating.
  • You'll need to have graduated in the last 12 months or be graduating in the near future.
  • You'll need a full valid driver's license with access to your own vehicle and third-party insurance.
  • You'll need a valid Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
  • You'll need a clear current Police Check, or willingness to obtain.
  • You'll need NDIS Workers Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain.
  • You'll need First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
