About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Infrastructure Maintainer to join our team. As a key member of our Interstate network, you'll be responsible for carrying out physical work to maintain ARTC's rail track, including preventative and reactive maintenance activities. You'll also undertake minor construction for planned capital upgrades, general labouring, track maintenance duties, safety protection work, visual inspections of ARTC's rail track, operating heavy machinery, welding, and other maintenance tasks while meeting ARTC standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out physical work to maintain ARTC's rail track, including preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
- Undertake minor construction for planned capital upgrades.
- Perform general labouring, track maintenance duties, safety protection work, visual inspections of ARTC's rail track, operating heavy machinery, welding, and other maintenance tasks.
- Meet ARTC standards and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Current drivers' licence and proficiency in driving a manual car.
- Computer exposure - Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to learn.
Desirable
- Past or present Rail Industry experience, specifically in track maintenance.
- Heavy Rigid Licence or willingness to obtain one.
- High Risk Licence and experience in operating heavy plant equipment (Excavator, Forklift, and Front End Loader are highly desirable).
- Construction industry induction (white card).
