Pain Medicine Professional

Job Description

We are seeking a Pain Medicine Professional to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the provision of a pain medicine service within our objectives and philosophies. You will work under consultant supervision to provide a comprehensive, effective, efficient, and safe clinical pain medicine service to hospital patients.

This will involve adhering to departmental policies, protocols, and procedures that ensure the provision of clinically acceptable pain medicine practices. You will also participate in clinical review and quality assurance programs to monitor and maintain standards of practice.

Our ideal candidate will be eligible to be registered with the Medical Board of Australia and hold a suitable postgraduate qualification for advanced training in pain medicine. They will have clinical experience appropriate to their year of training and demonstrate enthusiasm in participating in all Department professional activities.

The successful candidate will work well as part of a multidisciplinary team while retaining a primary focus on the provision of patient care. They will also demonstrate an ability to liaise with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Vocationally qualified and eligible for registration with the SA Medical Board
  • Postgraduate training in pain medicine
  • Clinically experienced and knowledgeable in accordance with the FPM ANZCA curricula
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and written skills
