Nurse Educator in Dialysis Services

Nurse Educators are leaders within nursing and education, modelling the values of Nursing Services by exemplifying and promoting excellence in practice. In this role, you will work in the Alfred Renal Service, focusing on supporting non-inpatient nurses in satellite dialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Home Haemotherapy and ambulatory services.

Responsibilities include implementing a Transition Support Program (TSP) renal pathway for nurses and delivering a Post Graduate Certificate in Renal Nursing Program. This role requires collaboration with the Nursing Education department and key university/TAFE stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a Post Graduate Certificate, holding or working towards a Masters of Nursing or Education. Previous experience in an education or education support role is essential, as is demonstrated expertise in clinical leadership and education.

A commitment to research process, quality and safety, and application to practice is also required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
