About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Speech Therapist to join our team in a Permanent Part-Time capacity. This role will provide clinical assessment and treatment to inpatients, rotating through different wards to gain experience in acute surgical, orthopedic, and medical caseloads, as well as the inpatient Hyson Green Mental Health Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical assessment and treatment to patients
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication with multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or equivalent qualification
  • Eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Clinical experience in a hospital setting or equivalent aged care setting with dysphagia experience and knowledge
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Effective written and verbal communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and as a sole clinician
  • Demonstrated ability to apply quality improvement activities in the workplace
