The RoleWe seek an experienced Process Engineer to join our Brisbane-based team. As a key member, you will lead or work with a highly experienced team on various domestic and international projects. Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting the process team on studies and projects by reviewing key process deliverables related to your field of expertise.
- Coordinating with other engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, vendors, consultants, and client teams to deliver projects successfully.
- Contributing to the review and optimization of project design, cost, safety, constructability, and schedule.
- Interfacing with global equipment suppliers to stay updated with technological developments.
The ideal candidate has a background in process plant design across base metals and demonstrated success in delivering studies and projects. A tertiary qualification in mineral processing, chemical engineering, or metallurgical engineering is required, along with 10 years' experience in the industry.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you should have:
- Tertiary qualification in mineral processing, chemical engineering, or metallurgical engineering.
- 10 years' experience in the industry, preferably within EPCM.
- Previous experience in design across base metals and/or gold.
- Experience with design and implementation of floatation and comminution processes.
- Comminution circuit modelling and simulations experience.
- Process design experience, including process mass balances, process flow diagrams, and process support services.
- Systems design experience, including piping and instrument diagrams, cause and effect diagrams, hazard and operability design reviews, and systems support services.
- Familiarity with technical specifications and Australian and international codes and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
- Experience using Metsim, Sys CAD, or similar software.
