Geotechnical Expertise Role
We seek a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to our underground mining operations.
This position involves leading and mentoring a team, developing work plans and processes, conceptualising improvement projects, and providing geotechnical advice.
- Lead and mentor a team of Geotechnical Engineers.
- Develop functional work plans and processes for the Geotechnical Department.
- Conceptualise, initiate, present and implement specific Geotechnical improvement projects for productivity and profitability gains.
- Provide Geotechnical advice and direction in planned and active underground mining areas.
- Work closely with the technical production team in designing mine level and stope extraction plans.
- Contribute to the development of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring systems.
About You:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Current C Class Western Australian Drivers Licence (Manual).
- Experience with mine design software – Deswik.
- Underground geotechnical experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
