Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for nutrition assessment, intervention, and education.
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients, taking into account individual factors such as medical history, dietary habits, cultural preferences, and psychosocial factors.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, mental health professionals, and other stakeholders to integrate nutrition education into holistic health promotion programs for the client.
  • Stay abreast of current research, evidence-based practices, and emerging trends in nutrition and dietetics, particularly as they relate to vulnerable populations and diverse cultural contexts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a dietitian in a clinical, community, or institutional setting, with experience in diverse cultural or underserved populations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition science, dietary guidelines, and therapeutic nutrition principles, with expertise in addressing complex dietary needs and medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide culturally sensitive care to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clinical policies and procedures.
