We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the procurement function, you will be responsible for administering purchasing activities and ensuring timely provision of goods and services.

Your primary focus will be on executing transactional purchasing activities in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide timely solutions.

You will create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders based on departmental requirements, ensuring timely approvals and processing. Your liaison role with suppliers will involve quotations, orders, deliveries, and corrective actions around delivery issues and invoice discrepancies.

Maintaining accurate and organized procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information, is also an essential aspect of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  1. 2+ years' experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar administrative role.
  2. Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
  3. Proficiency in computer applications - Microsoft Word and Excel.
  4. Data entry and management skills.
  5. Excellent customer service skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. A formal qualification in Business and Administration is highly regarded.
