Psychology Professional

The role of a Clinical Psychologist in this position involves providing clinical services to participants aged 0-65 with various diagnoses and disability types. This is an opportunity to develop your clinical expertise, extend your skills, and deepen your knowledge in a variety of areas.

You will have the opportunity to provide psychological practice using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) & Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and person-centred and trauma-informed approaches through ongoing counselling. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to administer and receive training on a range of psychological assessments including mental health, IQ, psychoeducational, school readiness, decision-making capacity, autism and ADHD assessments.

This organisation supports the 4+2 and 5+1 pathways, as well as registrar programs, with a team of experienced supervisors on staff in all areas of expertise to guide and support you to achieve your clinical competencies. You will work across various environments, including family homes, disability group homes, day programs, schools, community, and/or offices.

You will be able to connect with the L&D Manager from the Psychology division, and L&D Managers in other divisions, in one-on-one and group training sessions, plus have the ability to email or pick up the phone at any time to ask their advice on complex cases.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology
  • For Registrar Program: Ability to become registered with AHPRA in a Registrar program – e.g., clinical psychology, clinical neuropsychology, education and developmental psychology, or forensic psychology
  • For endorsed positions: registration with AHPRA with endorsement in clinical psychology, clinical psychology, clinical neuropsychology, education and developmental psychology, or forensic psychology
  • Registration or ability to become registered with AHPRA
  • A car and licence
  • A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or able to get one for a client facing role (or willingness to obtain one before commencement)
