Lead Digital Preservation Specialist

Job Title:
We are seeking a digital preservation specialist to manage our digitized and born-digital records.
About the Role:
This role involves developing procedures for the ongoing safety and access to digital records. It also entails overseeing the development and implementation of our digital preservation agenda, designing new methods for managing complex digital records, and working with IT staff to test the effectiveness of our digital storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing procedures for the ongoing safety and access to digitized and born-digital records
- Managing and overseeing the development and implementation of our digital preservation agenda
- Designing and implementing new methods for managing complex digital records
- Working with IT staff to oversee and test the effectiveness of our digital storage solutions
- Leading teams and their performance, and developing professional networks
Requirements:
- Experience in managing digital archival records
- High level support in relation to digital preservation formats, associated metadata, and standards
- Ability to work with IT staff to oversee and test the effectiveness of digital storage solutions
- Proven experience with developing and maintaining professional networks
- Eligibility: Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 security clearance
