Job Title: Point of Sale Associate
We are seeking a skilled and organized Point of Sale Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work efficiently with cash transactions, and maintain a high level of organization in the stockroom.
- Operate the cash register accurately and process customer transactions efficiently.
- Scan items quickly and ensure prices and quantities are correct.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a polite manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier area.
- Assist customers with bagging groceries and handling fragile items.
- Stock shelves with products, ensuring proper labeling and rotation.
- Maintain fully stocked shelves and neat displays throughout the store.
- Check product expiration dates and remove outdated items.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and performing inventory checks.
- Greet customers and offer assistance as needed.
- Provide product knowledge, especially on specialty items.
- Help customers locate specific items or make recommendations.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service.
- Ability to work efficiently with cash transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. The schedule includes morning, afternoon, evening, and shift work shifts. Relocation to Carrum Downs VIC 3201 may be required.
