Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial management and accounting services, as well as developing and implementing policies and procedures related to financial reporting and SAP systems maintenance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake and manage financial systems, financial reporting, and intranet development activities to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures relating to financial reporting and SAP systems maintenance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Financial Management intranet page and resources to facilitate and support financial management within the department.
  • Provide high quality and well researched advice, interpretation, and feedback to senior managers, colleagues, employees, clients, and stakeholders on a broad range of financial management activities with a strong focus on customer service.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced computer skills and experience in financial systems and software applications, particularly SAP ECC and Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult, liaise, and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyse, develop, implement, and evaluate complex financial issues, strategies, policies, and procedures.
