Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Aboriginal Child Protection Caseworker to join our team. The successful candidate will work with vulnerable families, supporting them to provide safe and loving homes for their children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with parents, family members, children, and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Develop safety plans and complete risk assessments to ensure the best interests of children are protected.
  • Manage complex cases involving high-risk clients and their families.
  • Participate in court processes, including preparation of court documents and attendance at court hearings.

Requirements

  • A relevant diploma or degree qualification is preferred, but not essential if accompanied by two years' experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with the Aboriginal community and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • A valid driver's licence and paid Working with Children clearance number are also required.
