Technical Lead

As a key member of our mobile engineering team, you'll drive innovation and excellence in technical delivery. You are passionate about building high-quality software that makes a meaningful impact on people's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and inspire software engineering teams, focusing on delivering exceptional results and fostering a culture of open communication, quality work, and inclusivity.

Provide expert advice on technology, solution design, architecture, and people leadership to drive excellence in technical delivery.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the evolution of your technical squads through contributions to technology strategy and prioritization of backlog.

Develop and execute delivery roadmaps, determining which problems to invest in solving, and driving operational excellence across squads.

Requirements:

Prior experience leading and inspiring software engineering teams or experience as a Senior Software Engineer seeking direct people management opportunities.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a bias towards action.

Effective communication of engineering practice standards and consistent ways of working across squads and teams, aligning to global best practices.

Promote open communication and create a safe working environment where engineers' voices are heard to achieve great outcomes for our organisation, customers, and community.

Drive operational excellence and support teams in charge of mission-critical production services with diverse stakeholders and complex dependencies.

Encourage risk-taking and constructive challenge while growing diverse and inclusive teams.

Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of Jetpack Compose and Material Design.

Cross-platform technologies expertise.

Advanced experience in software engineering and architecture principles in mobile.

Source control management (Git and Gitflow) expertise.

CI/CD and testing automation experience.

Understanding of CICD mobile best practices and metrics automation, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
