We are seeking an experienced Pathology Collector to join our team, who will be responsible for collecting blood samples and coordinating specimen samples from patients with empathy and drive to deliver great customer service and quality healthcare.

As a Pathology Collector, you will work autonomously, sometimes independently in a solo clinic, and will have the flexibility to travel to multiple clinics as required.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Collecting Samples: You will collect blood and non-blood samples with care and attention, ensuring that all specimens are handled and processed correctly.
• Maintaining Accurate Records: You will keep meticulous records for every patient and sample, ensuring that all documentation is completed within strict turnaround times.
• Liaising with Colleagues: You will liaise with a range of different people, including customers, clinic staff and couriers, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

What Type of Person Will Be Successful

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Pathology Collector, or have gained a Cert III in Pathology Collection and be looking to embark on your Pathology Collection career. No experience in Pathology Collection but have a customer service focus and a background in healthcare? These Are The Type Of Attributes & Skills You Would Possess:

• Demonstrated Experience: You will have demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy/Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background.
• Excellent Communication Skills: You will possess excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy.
• Organisational Skills: You will be organised, with strong time management and attention to detail.
• Autonomy: You will be able to work autonomously, sometimes independently in a solo clinic.
• Travel: You will have a valid driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics.
• Certifications: You will hold Working with Children's Check or be willing to obtain one.
• Eligibility: You will be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work.
• Vaccinations: You will have evidence of vaccine preventable disease such as Hepatitis B and other vaccinations based on location may be required.
