WANADA is a leading and respected not-for-profit provider of alcohol and other drug services. We have a rich and proud history of providing support through a range of services including counseling, groups, residential rehabilitation, and educational initiatives.
About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a Support Worker at our Beela Valley Residential Therapeutic Community. A therapeutic community is a treatment facility in which the community itself, through self-help and mutual support, is the principal means for promoting personal change. In a therapeutic community, residents and staff participate in the management and operation of the community, contributing to a psychologically and physically safe learning environment where change can occur.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain presence and involvement within the community.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team structure, modeling the principles and key practices of a therapeutic community.
- Contribute to a psychologically and physically safe learning environment.
Requirements
- Availability to work across a 24-hour roster, 7 days a week.
- Penalty rates apply according to the shifts worked.
