Allied Health Department Head

The team at Adult Community Mental Health Services North is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to spearhead the growth and development of our Allied Health department. Our goal is to provide exceptional community-based mental health care that truly makes a difference in people's lives.
This is an exciting time for our organization, with a new era of transformation underway as part of the Tasmanian Statewide Mental Health Reform program. We are looking for someone who can help us shape our culture, develop our team, and inspire excellence across our services.
We are particularly interested in hearing from Social Workers and Occupational Therapists who have a proven track record of collaboration, leadership, and innovation. As an Allied Health Lead, you will play a key role in coordinating and providing clinical leadership and supervision to OTs and Social Workers within the community team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality leadership and clinical oversight to Allied Health staff
- Driving service development and innovation in Allied Health practice
- Leading intersectoral liaison and representing Allied Health perspectives in strategic planning, policy development, and service evaluation
- Offering specialist clinical assessment, treatment, and case management using evidence-based, best practice principles
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in mental health care, preferably in a variety of settings
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution
- Highly developed clinical management and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure
