Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a highly skilled and respected engineering team. As a Principal Maritime Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and planning of large-scale multi-discipline maritime facilities for various industries, including defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability.

You will leverage your existing experience across these different industries and lead the technical delivery of new and interesting projects. You will be supported by and collaborate with a range of other disciplines within the organisation and its partners.

The team works on large-scale clean energy, boating infrastructure, wharf and port infrastructure, and remediation of valuable public assets. This role will see you utilising your existing maritime structural expertise to deliver everything from concept designs through to construction phase support.

You will have opportunities for leadership, project management, and business development, as well as driving innovation within the team and providing supervision, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced colleagues.

As a successful candidate, you will typically possess more than 15 years' experience in structural design, including reinforced concrete and steel in the marine environment. You will also have significant experience in designing, evaluating, and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures.
