Senior Operations Leader

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced senior operations leader to lead our South Australian project management team. Based in Adelaide, this leadership position is crucial in developing and executing the business plan for the South Australian PM office, ensuring alignment with our broader objectives.

You'll be responsible for providing strategic leadership to deliver high-quality, profitable client outcomes. This includes financial oversight, team leadership, client relationship management, and business development activities to achieve sustainable, profitable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the business plan for the South Australian PM office.
• Provide project management support for large building and property, infrastructure, and defence projects including planning, construction, and integration.
• Build, lead, and empower a high-performing Adelaide-based project management team.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Drive business development and tendering activities.
• Oversee project lifecycle phases including planning, design, implementation, and close-out.
• Manage financial performance including cost planning, budgeting, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and contractual standards.
• Foster a culture of inclusion, safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
• Senior management experience leading small to medium teams in the growth of a professional services business, delivering within a framework of targets and strategic plans.
• Established network of relationships with potential clients and service providers that can leverage to support growth in the business unit.
• Experience in marketing, business development, and financial management.
• AIPM Certified Practising Project Director certification (or equivalent) - desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes on time, on budget, and to specification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance (Must be an Australian citizen).
