Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Conquest Personnel Pty Ltd is currently seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic - Territory Manager to join their team in Ivanhoe/Kew.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take charge of designated territory and build strong relationships with customers. In exchange for your hard work, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 per annum, plus overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend to breakdowns promptly and efficiently plan, schedule, and execute routine preventative maintenance;
• Manage all allocated work schedules and tasks, ensuring timely completion of routine inspections, servicing, and repairs;
• Regularly report progress on each job and communicate effectively with customers about any delays or concerns;
• Report on labour and parts overruns or shortfalls, maintaining accurate records throughout the process;
• Develop and maintain long-lasting, high-quality relationships with customers through professional engagement and communication;

Requirements:

• A trade qualification as a diesel mechanic is essential, along with hydraulic experience and proficiency in working with trucks and earth-moving equipment;
• A valid forklift license, high-risk EWP/scissor lift license, and truck license are also required;
• The ability to work autonomously and under instruction, while meeting deadlines and demonstrating a positive attitude;
• Excellent physical fitness and the capacity for light to moderate lifting;
• Organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
