Job Description

This role involves leading procurement operations in ANZ, managing a team of six professionals, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders, and implementing global procurement strategies in the Australian market. The successful candidate will have expertise in both direct and indirect procurement, experience managing procurement budgets of a similar scale, effective leadership skills, and excellent negotiation and supplier relationship skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute initiatives for working capital expansion, cost model negotiations, and supplier risk mitigation plans.
  • Drive digitalization in procurement processes, including the implementation of e-auctions and other digital tools.
  • Ensure procurement resilience and capacity building to support long-term business growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in both direct and indirect procurement, with a track record of delivering savings and cost efficiencies.
  • Experience managing procurement budgets of a similar scale.
  • Effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop and inspire teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and supplier relationship skills.
  • Ability to work in a complex, global environment and collaborate with international teams.
  • Technical knowledge of chemicals and market insight into chemical suppliers.
