Michael Page is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join their Commercial Litigation team in Canberra or Sydney. As a high-performing litigator, you will play a pivotal role in handling complex and high-stakes litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Litigation Management & Strategy: Oversee and manage end-to-end commercial litigation matters from initial instruction to resolution.
  • Drafting & Pleadings: Prepare a wide array of legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, witness statements, and submissions.
  • Court Appearances & Advocacy: Represent clients in various jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court, Magistrates/District Courts, and the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (ACAT).
  • Client Advisory & Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients across a range of industries, including property, construction, and commercial sectors.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5 years PQE, ideally most of that spent in commercial litigation.
  • Specialisation: Strong experience in Building & Construction litigation is essential.
  • Essential Skills: Expertise in SOPA (Security of Payments Act) is a must.
  • Additional Skills: Property experience is beneficial, but not essential.
What We Offer:

An estimated salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and location, plus benefits package. This role is designed for a high-performing litigator who is ready to take on significant responsibility within a dynamic and supportive team.
