Rehabilitation is a collaborative process, bringing together clients and healthcare professionals to achieve shared goals. At the heart of this approach lies effective communication, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of each client's unique needs.
The Community Rehabilitation Unit offers adult outpatient services, working with individuals who have acquired neurological conditions such as stroke and traumatic brain injury, as well as progressive conditions like Parkinson's disease and Multiple Sclerosis.
As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Dietitians, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists, Art Tutors, and Allied Health Assistants to deliver personalized care and support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing client needs and developing targeted rehabilitation plans
- Delivering evidence-based interventions, including physical and occupational therapy
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve seamless care transitions
- Providing high-level communication skills, conflict resolution, and crisis management
This is a fixed-term, part-time position working 45.6 hours per fortnight for approximately twelve months. You will receive a salary range of $78,179 to $99,316 per annum, pro rata, plus a 12% superannuation contribution. Additional allowances and benefits may be available.
