Laboratory Scientist

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions, and manuals.
- Field sampling and testing on project sites.
- Calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Maintain, observe, and participate in the statutory safety requirements of the laboratory operation.
- Assist in the maintenance of the laboratory according to NATA accreditation requirements.
Requirements:
- Flexibility to work shift work when required.
- Strong analytical skill and a commitment to safety and quality.
- Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised in the laboratory.
- Previous construction materials laboratory experience is a plus.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline, e.g., Civil, Materials (desirable).
- Understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data.
- Knowledge of Australian and Industry standards.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
