The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Café Attendant to join our team at Belgravia Leisure.

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver exceptional customer service to our patrons, ensuring a positive experience that aligns with our company's mission, vision, and values.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Providing excellent customer service to all customers
  • Maintaining the appearance and presentation of the café
  • Replenishing condiments as needed
  • Following health and safety guidelines
  • Cashier experience, taking orders and handling cash
  • Applying sound cash handling principles and using Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Promoting the centre's services and programs to our patrons
  • Developing and maintaining good working relations with patrons
  • Providing information on our product range, including promoting healthy food options
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends, with hours increasing during peak periods

Skills & Attributes:

  • Positive, friendly, helpful, and energetic work style
  • Coffee making/barista skills
  • Food handling certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Workplace Level 2)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current Food Handlers Qualification
  • Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Ability to be flexible during peak periods
  • Availability on Saturdays and Sundays

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but candidates with a friendly attitude and a customer service mindset are encouraged to apply.
