Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for

  • Providing expert technical support and service to our customers through analytical skills (problem isolation and resolution), facilitating new installations, implementations, maintenance, education, and author documentation in support of the customers' environment
  • Ability to prepare written technical reports based on historical trends and data
  • Communicating with clients, both at the engineer and management level
  • Working in a team environment, organizational ability for multi-tasking and flexibility is a must
  • Occasional travel to customer sites globally as required
  • Assisting Junior staff in resolving technical issues as required
  • Interfacing with R&D teams to resolve complex issues and bugs
  • Ability to understand and replicate customer environments for testing and troubleshooting locally
  • Delivering best-in-class service to our customers

Requirements

What you bring to the table

  • 5 to 8 years' experience in the IT industry with focus on networking and security in the Enterprise environment
  • Strong Unix and Windows system-level knowledge
  • Proven understanding of enterprise-class security principles design and implementation
  • Knowledge of change control process in the enterprise
  • Must have minimum CCSE certification (Check Point Certified Security Expert)
  • Must be proficient in analyzing packet captures with tcpdump and Wireshark tools
  • Must be an expert in interpreting network environments at the L2/L3 OSI layers
  • Active listening and communication skills, coupled with the ability to share information, and networking skills
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of the Internet technologies supported (TCP/IP, Networking, Operating systems)
  • Strong personal drive and initiative
  • Ability to maintain a personal schedule that is conducive to job description and team performance
  • Ability to work with support team to improve technical skills
  • Continue to stay current with technology
  • Ability to interface with Development to solve complex problems
  • Ability to clearly communicate Technical solutions (Strong Presentation, Written and Verbal)
  • Ability to use virtualization technology such as VMware
